Of if you want bright lights.
I put a set of Lightforce 24cm diameter driving lights on my Territory.
Lights up about 2km down the road ... brightest and strongest driving lights on the market.
I mounted them on a nudge bar ... they are huge lights though.

Usually seen on the interstate trucks ... awesome lights.
I blind small animals at 500 metres.

from here http://www.parksidetowbars.com.au they are out in welshpool but as for price, I'd have to look when I get home ... fully fitted it wasn't too bad, took about 3 hours!

a parkside roobar might be better, i had one when i had a 5l ute and lived in Port Hedland yonks ago. According to their site they're average price is from $695 fitted, nudge bars from $380 fitted

http://www.parksidetowbars.com.au/product.html

wonder how much they are unfitted? .. they can't be that hard to fit

cant put brighter lamps in coz it yellows the lens. any suggestions? (budget friendly..)

well, when i 1st got my ef the lights were pretty yellow, i read on fordmods where someone had used plexus plastic polish to clean theirs, so i got out the wet and dry, got rid of the yellow crap, polished with plexus and hey presto clean clear lenses, of course the lights also were brighter, no grunge to dim them, since then all i do is like about once every 6mths polish with plexus and the lenses stay clear, not much different to new, it's that good!

http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/

i've had 100w globes in the high beams for 4yrs now, plus 50s in the main beams for 3 1/2yrs, no yellowing and the lights are much better than originals, cheapest option, also 1st one i'd do before fitting extra lights and bars etc,

i was going to fit the number plate bracket and hang a pair of hella rallye 2000 spotlights off that, but i won't bother now, also the country road i drive has much more traffic on it nowadays and you don't get a lot of opportunities to use powerful lights, and really your main beam lights need to be better cause that's whats used the most

not sure about new zealand, is there a bunbury there too?, but 50s are legal alright and high beams can be anything you want long as you don't zap people with them in the same way as spotlights are

and while we're on the subject of legalness, i don't think xenon lights are legal unless your car came with them, check with your insurance company and police dept to be sure otherwise if your involved in a crash your insurance company might dump you if they claim the lights were a contributing factor and you'll be liable for all the costs yourself, xenon lights are bright enough to cause temporary blindness if they aren't setup right

Not so sure about that, my understanding is all bulbs must be replaced with what is listed by the manufacturer including High Beam.

if thats the case then replace the high beams with 50s as well then, after all they are the same wattage

be interesting to find out for sure, and i bet each state has different standards, anyone know a vehicle examiner?
