Having some probs with the Smartlock in my ED. The remote isn't responding. Thought it was the battery in the remote so bought a new one and still nothing.
Any ideas on what it may be? and how to fix it? Thanks in advance

Just tried to retrain the remote as per the guide in the owners manual but still nothing. It goes into learn mode but thats as far as it goes.

did you check the smartlock thread?
i have never even had the smartlock remote for my el, didnt come with the car when i bought it....

Maybe the circuit board on the key fob crapped itself?
