							G'day,

I recently purchased a '96 EF Falcon Futura with an XR kit on it. It had a ELGT snorkel which I didn't know & I when it idles in neutral it's a bit lumpy. I thought the revs needed adjusting but it's idling at 750 so that should be fine. Is there any way I can check if there is an aftermarket Cam on it? Cheers

If its a billet cam, it probably wont have a ford part number anywhere on it.

If its a regrind, it will have a ford partnumber, and probably a make/model/brand stamped into it from the cam shop who did the regrind.

I was wondering the same thing ... I CBF pulling the rocker cover off to check that.

Doesn't bother me ... will be saving some pennies for one of the Wade high-torque cams for the XG ... maybe some head work as well.

when they are reground it is usually stamped on the back of the cam what/who done it. so unless you want to pull it out to find out you can only go by what the previous owner has told you.
