Anyone done a sump change on an ED ?? just after some tips .. im assuming it can be done without removing anything to major?
and any ideas an how much a second hand sump is?? i had a little incident with jack slippage

Bugger of a job. Drop the whole kframe, or lift the engine a fair way up (ideally out)... Second hand sump should cost s**t all, new from Ford they are about $100 last time I checked. Good luck!

My mechanic lifted the engine slightly, angle grinded some of the k frame out, replaced the sump and welded the kframe back together.
Cant remember what it cost, but it was a f**k ripoff. Something like 4 hours labour and $60 for second hand sump. Anyway thats how he did it, and thats how id do it.

man htats dodgy if he had to cut the K frame ( sounds liek what he has done )
liek all have said drop the K frame or lift the engine or fork over $700 + to get it done
