thought i's share this with you guys. i will be purchasing a sony system for my ED wagon:
CDX-F7700 http://www.sony.com.au/xplod/catalog/pr ... ,MENUITEM7 XS-V1640H speakers for the front and XS-GT6037X speakers for the rear All up it should cost $775! (RRP on the HU is $799!!  )

i'll be picking the gear up in the morning and hopefully install it over the weekend. i got an iriver 40G mp3 player and this HU has RCA inputs which will allow me to play 12000 mp3's through the car system.
when funds allow i will get a fully schick schub woofer...

Not bad at all.
Wouldn't mind that $2k double din unit as long as you can change the colour look like you can.

i agree, but to beat long distance boredom a good sound system is needed!
