I will be replacing my head unit shortly and want to know if i can still keep the 1 hour keyless play function. it this in the headunit its self or is it a function of the BEM?

its in the HU mate - so you'll lose that function i'm afraid!

well, i have in my last 3 cars with aftermarket HU's at least! :?

you could easily build or buy a 12v timing circuit to power your HU for an hour if you really wanted that feature...

damm the one hour keyless play is handy. i thaught it would have been controlled by the BEM coz when u use this function you can hear a little relay or something kick in from the BEM.

there would have to be a way to make a keyless play function for sure just gonna have to find a timer. I'll just hook up a timer circut and a little push button switch, so when you push the button the relay in the timer kicks in and latches on for an hour or so giving a 12V supply to your HU. when your hour is up the timer will latch out and HU will turn off. simple as that. I could even be fancy and have an adjustable timer.

One hour keyless play only available on factory fitted stereos. Im getting too old for upgrading my stereo - i have a CD stacker and radio/cassette - that is all i need, and im only 24, almost 25 y.o.
