My beloved ED futura has travelled 340 000km now. How it made it i have no idea especially as its an ex police car. However my dilemma is that now the car has travelled so many ks that the engine is slowly starting to get tired and not to mention head gasket has a slight leak (but silversol fixed that

yea but an au motor is a lot of f&*kn around. I was thinking EL xr6 motor and EL transmission to go with it?

What symptoms is the engine showing that its getting tired ?

"IF" it's the engine thats tired i paid $350 for a low km's EF engine and slapped it in goes great now loves 4000 rpm

I've read that putting a EL motor in is much easier to do then an EF or AU motor and then i figure that i can put a AU trans in and just change the bell housing?
