I have a series 1 BA XT goes into limp mode (no steering no brakes) every 5- 10 mins. I need to pull over (if possible) turn the car off and then start it again to get home.

I replaced the throttle body with the 2 sensors from a mates working ba to see if that would work and no difference.

Any ideas on whats putting it in limp mode ?

Probably won't do anything, but try resetting ECU (DSC battery overnight)

Get your battery tested for FREE at any auto sparky / battery seller..

I had several voltage related fault codes, and car going into limp (stuck in 3rd / flashing D) and it was the battery.
