hey guys
ive got a problem my headlights randomly go out while driving ,ive traced it back to this relay block ![]() ![]() when i fiddle with the wires the lights go out ,so im just wondering if you can replace that part it doesnt look like you can ,and where the wires go into the bottom of all the relays is there a trick to getting them out ive gently pulled on them but they wont come out ?? any ideas and also i found this little thing ![]() any one know what it is ,it looks like its been shorting out or something ,it's a bit burnt and very hot to touch some times ?? well if you can help me out that would be great cheers jarrod

You can buy relay sockets and replace the non working ones and the other thing your picture shows is a type of self resetting fuse.

![]() If you want to reuse the existing relay block you can get the wires out with the wire connector attached to them. From the top with the relay removed, using a very small screwdriver find the plastic lock that holds the metal connector in the relay block, whilst holding this back gently pull on the wire. If you have done it properly the connector will slide out easily. The small metal box is a curcuit breaker, looks a bit crook in the photo, I'd be replacing that also.

depends on waqt globes you have in, cause someone put 100W globes in mine and the relay couldnt handle them, and the used to flcker when been on for a while, i think the current was producing so much heat it couldnt handle it
so anyway, i put new golbes in, 55w ones and it doesnt happen anymore

Replace that silver burnt little box, its a circuit breaker.
They get rusted inside after time and your headlights turn off as it draws too much current from bad contact. If you replace it your problem should be fixed, same thing happened to mine. |
