Just wondering if any Ford gurus out there know if the Ford courier v6 is the same as whats found in the 2001-06 explorers as im looking at buying an explorer and wondering on parts availability

Pretty sure the engine is yank V6 not a JAP one.
I know i'm not helping, but they are not known as exploders for no reason.
