Ride: Ford XH Ute 5L

Location: Melbourne
VIC, Australia

Hello all,

Firstly i just bought a XH ute

Its a 5L V8 running on LPG/Petrol

It has a fair few problems and i was just wondering if i could seek some advice.

Firstly whenever i put my foot all the way down on gas or petrol it sort of dies then i lift my foot up a bit and it goes away. I was thinking it might be the airflow meter but wasnt to sure.

Second, whenever i give it stick the whole car shudders. really not sure what this one is.

Now for my final question (for now :) )
How hard is it to convert the auto to a manual on these things, and what do i have to buy to do it.
Also what are the costs to do it yourself compared to getting a workshop to do it.

Thanks heaps in advance guys

Cheers

It could be the MAF.
Its not hard to convert to manual. Its just near impossible to buy the bits and when you find someone who has the bits they want a kings ransom for them.

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!
