ok so i just replaced my old 6X9s in the rear, and now i have 2 spare 180 watt ones, and im thinking, why not use them in the rear doors? fitting them will be easy, wiring them up, im aware of many options,

1. connect the wires to the front door speakers
2. connect them to the rear speakers, would this affect the quality of the rear speakers by doing this??? im thinking if i go with option 3, that option 2 could be a temporary idea??? so i just wanna know how the quality would be :)
3. fork out the cash for an amp... NOW the deal with that, ill be getting an AMP soon for a sub ill be getting too, so what sort of amp will i need in terms of how many channels?

cheers fellas
Jason

Not much point man, to be honest........

If you've already got 6x9's on the rear shelf, you're not really going to get that much out of it.

Different if they were for a different audio source, say just for an xbox?

If there down low in the back there not gunna effect you much as you'll be in the front and the seat will be a huge sound barrier from the extra speakers noise reaching you. It'd just be more work and effort.
If your after a louder system get bigger amps, if you want more abss upgrade your subs and amps, or get bigger amp on the 6 x9's with some bass boost or something.

well im not after more bass (cept when i get the sub) nor am i after more power, really just after more sound... if you know what i mean? like more outlets of sound.. that way it doesnt matter which door is open, you'll still hear the tunes, and im ganna go with it fellas, im ganna hook it up the current rears tonight, see how it sounds :)

ITS GOTTA BE DONE! :) mainly because i enjoy putting speakers in, and now that iv replaced them all, well the only thing i can do is add on :) i connected them up last night, quality of the parcel shelf 6X9s wernt affected, so its not going to make it a better system i know that, but its not ganna make it crapper either :) and it'll look good, so its going to be an enjoyable day fitting them on, unless you guys have something better for me to fill up my time :)

Why don't you get a job to take up some of that spare time you have so much of then you can do some real mods to your car? Or if you enjoy installing speakers so much, do it for other people at a price then you can earn money and settle that pashion you have...

well you see, i work full time, and weekends, i get a bit bored during the day, not alot to do during the day, specially with crap whether now... all my mates already have there audio done thanks to me and of course themselves, and i dont want to spend heaps of cash on a mechanics course or something, because its something i wouldnt use anyway cause i prefer not do work on mechanical stuff cause i could f**k it up, and yeah.. my cars fast enough anyways, so the only mods i wanna do is looks, and i think a few 6X9s would look good in the rear doors, wouldnt do anything, but definatly fun to do

I have HEAPS of little speaker installs to be worked on, My car, My wifes car, 3 mates car's..... if you have heaps fo time make your way down this way.

Speakers everywhere will destroy the imaging, staging and soundstage but if you dont car about it then i guess it doesn't matter. I would not be doing it to a car...

Instead work on a custom fibreglass sub box to accomodate your new sub and samp. There will need to be plenty of time to get that looking all nice...

Otherwise i need someone to work on my door pods if your keen...
