Was told by the guy I bought my fairmont parts car from that the 6ddb ecu installed in the fairmont will give me about 5rwkw more power if I put it into my gli with tickford head.
Is there any difference between the gli and fairmont ecu besides the catch codes? Also can I install a green bem and mid series cluster into a gli with no auto climate (as of yet) or would it get the $hit$ because of the missing climate and abs loom? Would a blue one be better until the climate is installed?

well my research on here and other places tells me that there would be no difference between the two.
Methinks old mate had his hand on it......

No difference in tune, correct.
You need to run the fairmont looms and bem as one unit. I would swap all the looms from the whole car, put all the Fairmont stuff in. |

maybe what he ment was a fairmont ghia ecu, el fairmont ghia has a tickford engine and its ecu has tickford maps/ tune, so what you need is a 6djb from a ghia..

yeah I am going to do the loom, ecu, cluster, and bem in one foul swoop instead of piece by piece.
tuning-wise no difference hey, makes sense.
