i think this has been here before. i need to replace the head gasket on my car (eb2) is there a better type of gasket to use say the brand or later models that r better and any tip to stop the oil leaking from the front of the head any help would be good thanks.

a steel AU gasket i beleive is the one to use.

![]() As said use AU gasket (genuine). To stop the leak at the front of the head (between head & timing case) use a thick bead of selastic instead of the rubber gasket supplied. Will last far longer.

Don't know their cost but they will fit straight on the E-series engines, they are a bit thinner which will help raise your compression a bit. |
