Hello guys, odd problem with my EL which it has been doing it ever since I had it:
Sitting idling at lights or in driveway, when thermo's kick in car revs up to 2000+ RPM and comes back down to idle. Replaced map sensor ages ago with new aftermarket replacement, same issue. Thanks much guys, it does it every time the thermos kick in/out. |

I'm thinking maybe the idle valve is sticky. Try removing it and giving it a good clean.
