Hi Guys, I picked up a 1998 AU XR6 Auto this morning and the gauges are not working. The idiot lights come on but the tacho and speedo move up to about 1000rpm and 20 km/h respectively and stay there. Also the radio is not working. I checked the fuse at No. 20 terminal and it is okay so can anyone offer a suggestion to fix it please? I drove the car home for about 40 k's and it drives great, changes gears etc., only the gauges won't operate.

I don't have a remote for the doors so they are opened with the key and I noticed that when I open the door after being unlocked, I can hear the motor in the door cycling. This noise also comes on when I opened the door after driving it and I opened the door to get out. Should I get a remote for it or just keep using the key to open the doors?
