Hey,
My au has developed a metallic rattling sound. It's coming from the exhaust manifold rear of the engine. Iv removed the cat heat shield which made it louder, I haven't removed the exhaust manifold heat shield though. Has anyone else had this problem with car? And could it be something like lifters? Iv tried searching but with no result. Cheers,

Give it a tap. I'm guessing it's collapsed or bits are starting too break up. Has your fuel consumption gone up?

It's about the same, I'll give it a tap after work to see what the go is. I was going to buy a exhaust soon.... May have to get it sooner! I was just worried that it would bugger something up.

Iv noticed the fuel consumption has gone up a bit, I was getting about 150-170k's out of a quarter of a tank now I'm getting 100-120. ( dependant on driving.... Hooning)
So I looked on eBay and there was a set of tiger extractors with cat for $460. Has anyone ever run these?
