Is it possible to use brakes off another falcon on my Na fairlane like au calipers for example. If it's not worth time, money or doing seeing as this is just a cruiser what disks should I use ie normal solid disks, slotted, slotted and dimpled, slotted and drilled, dimpled, drilled or drilled and dimpled.

AU/B series brakes will not fit E series.
Slotted rotors with decent pads are about all you can do without fitting a full brake kit. |

Doing a fluid flush with good quality fluid can also offer a marked improvement in braking. Especially if your fluid looks like this:

I just replaced mine with nylon dot 4. Thanks for the replies I need to replace my rear disks and brakes as my rear disks are glazed up to s**t. Front ones are fine but I want some slotted ones to go with my ebc green stuff pads.

Steel braided lines from brake safe are a worthy upgrade I feel too... Happy with mine and improved pedal feel... I run DBA T2 rotors and have found them to be good too...
				Cheers, Tim

I have Safebrake braided lines, Motul RBF600 brake fluid, DBA slotted and cross-drilled rotors and QFM HPX pads on my EF wagon. This combo pulls the car down HARD, though might not cope with repeated hard braking like on a track day. Still can't get rid of the annoying pedal travel before it starts biting though - unlike the instant bite of my AU2.

AU2 braking is because you have twin pot calipers on the front.
Big difference to the single pots on the E series. |

I'm running standard, boring old ugly rotors at the moment.. But I havnt had any issues with my Eseries braking.... Stops on a dime if I need it too... Good enough for street use anyway...
May consider slotted or something tho when their due for replacement as they look better

When a set of lights with a red light camera changes at the last second.. From 70kmph it stops quick enough, cirtainly throws the Mrs forward haha.

Noo... They are better by a long shot, Especially the twin pot ones, I was saying that my Eseries brakes fine enough for street use, And that I don't like driving AUs haha
