							Hi everyone,
I have an AU 2 XR8 with an FG front brake upgrade kit (322mm). It has standard AU rear brakes. I want to put stainless steel brake lines on it. My question is are the BF-FG lines and threads etc the same as the twin piston AU brakes. If so can i just buy an AU stainless brake hose kit and fit it? |

Or are the rears on AU and BF the same? Meaning could i buy a BF+ kit?

you can use the au2 front lines on the bf/fg front brakes, but you have a little more length if you use the bf lines..
fg lines are no good as fg calipers mount on the rear side of the stub/upright and are way to short.. the rears .. afaik on irs you must use the au lines, I have the 322mm fronts using bf lines. but have done conversions using au ones. I also have the 328mm rears and used the au ones without issues. |

The rears can be from a bf turbo/xr8 or territory.. They use same rotors and calipers.
You need to trim or remove the dust plate from rear of hub. Use or make a space or use washersr to space the calipers bracket back 3 or 4mm and get slightly longer bolts.. otherwise that's it.. The rotors fit straight on |

Thanks. I am looking to do some track work with the XR8. Do you think the slightly shorter AU front lines will cause any problems?
I will have to convert the rear as well. Comparing my AU brakes to the rears on our 2010 Territory is shocking. Do you still run the standard AU booster? |

I think the au ones will be ok, but if your worried I say put the bf ones.
yes I still run the au booster and master cyl and the brakes respond and feel great. |

Sorry, lastly, have you ever compared the BF rear lines to the AU rear ones? I was just wondering if they were similar enough that I could buy a braided BF kit.

from memory they are different, the bf lines are just 2 normal lines.
the au irs has a splitter block joined to the line on one side for a line to run to the other side. |
