Hi all

I've mounted an air horn just behind the grill on my 2007 Ford Focus Zetec.
I'm looking for some tips/knowledge on how to wire it up. Are there different types of wires need for each connection and what other wiring bits and bobs do I require? The kit came with a 4 pin relay but do I need to buy a fuse as well?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :D

Here' a diagram showing you how to wire it up. I prefer to use the relay to switch the -ve (earth) instead of the +ve. You should use a fuse and there are relays that come with them.

the wiring for the air horn needs to be large enuf to carry the current needed/used & yes use a correctly rated fuse!. you will need the correct wiring connectors for connecting the relay, battery etc. with air horns i have found that they should NEVER be fitted in the actual engine bay as i have found that the sound "echoes" or sounds louder in the cabin. i mounted mine behind the bumper bar [AU] & used a twin note. also do not use a 'musical' air horns as your main horn.
