is there anything i should know/do before removing/replacing the master cylinder switch on the side?

There shouldn't be any oil coming out of the hole but, you never know. Just undo and let the piston reset. :) If you are doing this after bleeding brakes.

fluid appears to be coming out of the switch body? so i need to bleed brakes after yeah?
