Hi all,
i have recently acquired an ef falcon with a popped motor i have pulled a running xh motor from my dads ute and swapped it into the ef sedan, we swapped all the original ef motor components into the xh long motor essentially just using the head and block by swapping the intake manifold crank angle sensor and adding the coilpack new harmonic etc, the car will not crank the barrel isn't broken as the key will have 1,2 then ignition but nothing happens and a exclamation in brackets appears below the handbrake sign the starter is fine as it worked before the swap and i am completely stumped as to why it doesn't start via key, we exposed the starter rely and can start the car via the relay and some carby clean to which it idles and can be turned off by the key. The injectors have a pulse but they don't seem to be pushing enough fuel when we crank by the relay.
I've heard mixed things about the bcm/bem faulting, bbm and ecu being different and the smartlock but i have tried a bypass and it didnt work, any tips or advice at all would be greatly appreciated i can answer any questions we have been racking our brains but cannot figure out the cause of it not turning over.
Cheers

The car starts via the relay but not with the key, and considering the exclamation mark indicator, it's possible that the Smartlock system is causing issues.
