I have removed the knock sensor (while removing the coil for testing) and attempted to test its resistance... it's an open circuit. Is the thing bung? What resistance should I be looking for?
The computer didn't log a fault code last time I checked, hmmm. J |

I have a feeling the may be an open circuit until the car pings, which has it output a wave form.
That could be well off the mark too. If your computer hasnt logged a code, its obviously not an issue

It's a pizeoelectric sensor with some filters. Don't even bother trying to measure it's resistance.
Should have 3 volts across it (from batt neg to sensor output) with ignition on and engine off.
