I've got touch up paintfrom Ford for all my cars and wonder what is the best way to apply it.

I clean the area first then I shake the bottle and then apply with the brush lid that comes with the bottle. I know its not going to be perfect, its just to touch up the white bits from stone chips and such. I dont want big globs of paint or large brushed areas from using not enough paint on the brush so I dont get the blobs. Can you polish it after to reduce the visible sign of the touch up paint? Anyone got any good tips please let me know. Cheers |

Hmm look like you need a thinner paint brush to do it right. I'll have to get a modellers 000 brush.

On mine i apply one layer to the scratched area, let that set over night even for a full 4 odd hours, then i hit it with cut n polish. That basically leaves the paint in the scratch and gets rid of the excess, so far it has worked a charm on my car, and some places you cant even know where there were deep scratches/chips. Though it does take a LONG time to do, but it works good and is cheaper then a respray.
