I got my hands on an EF XR cluster (extra 2 gauges).
I put it in my ef, and i knew the oil pressure would read full due to the open or closed circuit that it operates. But my question is why does the Coolant light flash every 1 or 2 seconds? I tried bridging the plug under the radiator bottle. I don't have a low warning sensor as yet, but i'll be getting that soon. Any ideas??

leave it open, shud sit off the scale, other wise take the globe out till u get the sensor
 , they are just what i came up with as i am about to do the same, and will be aquiring the sensor after installing cluster

the problem isn't the oil pressure/light.
it's teh coolant light (the one with the fan inside the radiator). Temp reads normal.

From what I understand, you can't just bridge it out. It has to have some resistance. Don't know what resistor you need sorry.

get a low coolant sensor that will fix it or put up with it flashing

yeah im gonna get one, just thought i'd test out the cluster.
gotta buy that and an oil pressure sender (we stock vdo, so should be nice and cheap!)
