I recently did my head, but having fixed that i am left with a tapping noise. It is usually there, but sometimes goes. The more i give it, the quicker the taps. Any idea's? I've heard it might be one of the tappets???

how loid is it the fuel injectors are pretty noisy as well but sonds like HLA's to me

What oil did you use and how many kms has the car done?
