Hey I notice a couple of people on hear have aftermarket ECU's in there falcons and was just wondering what people had and how they rate them.

Cause im looking for one for my EL Fairmont 6 auto and I just wanted to know what people have and if there will be any problems with the install, as I still want everything to work.

So yeah basicly will everything still work with an aftermarket ecu?
What have people got and what do people recommend?
And what are they worth?

Yeah the trip computer is relly the only thing that won't work. All the other functions like AC, trans, gauges etc is still controlled by the factory EEC. The aftermarket computer is just piggybacked and controls the engine itself.

The EMS computers have excellent features for the price and plenty have been fitted to falcons. The EMS 4424 costs around $1700 installed and tunes while the higher spec 8860 is around $2300, both have excellent features but the 8860 will eventually allow you to run sequential injection and has more outputs and better tunign resolution which is great for forced induction. Wolf, Haltech and Motec also do great systems but are expensive then EMS.
