I have been offered a 78 model 302 Fairlane with a vinyl roof rather cheap but it has a few small sections of rust under the vinyl roof. Is there an easy way to fix it or is it beyond repair once the rust takes hold?

The easy way is to clean it up and fibreglass it.
The right way is to cut out the rust section and weld in new steel.
