i have an ef fairmont ghia and am considering a stage 3 snort kit for it. its done nearly 180 thousand k's and the diff is sounding a bit tired and i was wondering if the motor could handle it.
ive read about people running low boost with no computer mods and there cars seem to hold up.
i want it to still be reliable because its a daily driver and was also wondering if people with ef's do anymore head gaskets because i know thats a problem with them.
also do i need to change the injectors. i dont want to spend a massive amount of money and this kit seems to be good value with not that many more things to be done other than the cooler piping and some other small things. i can get it fitted by my mates and was wonderind what the overall price would be after its tuned and ready to run after everything is done.
any help would be appreciated. cheers

you can get yourself a daily driver turbo conversion done for about 7-10grand. or you can do it for 5grand and have it last for a week. injectors dont need to be changed but its reccomended to cope with the increase in fuel. people advoid this by getting fuel pressure regulators and fuel pumps and what not.

yeah i was told to get a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. i alreay have a 2 and a half inch exaust so thats one less cost. i can get the cooler piping done for cheap so thats ok aswell. the computer will be expensive but sounds neccersary.

your 2.5 will do for now but will still be constricting the air flow. you should update to a 3 inch full system to allow full exhaust flow

i dont belive that a 5000 setup would last a week. i recon u coulded do it for about 3-4000 and it would have a good 150rwkw and it would last a long time.
