I have the original build/option sheet in front of me and these are the only things that stand out
box 31 taxi/police kit P
'' 32 instr panel 3
'' 36 HD cooling pack C
'' 51 suspension X
'' 52 engine module H
'' 54 trans module 2
'' axle #2
speedo E
Order type G. This was a Government law enforcement vehicle not a persuit vehicle but has no limiter, has a hard gear shift @ 5500rpm just off redline & has special instructions to fit NKU'' XR suspension with FR & RR stabilisers & Dampers. it is very firm but comfortable unlike most lowered cars. Not bad for a factory car, it s**t on that FE2 crap!

I believe XR8 dismantler is right. I talked to a cop mate of mine and he said its all crap what you hear about the "cop chips".

I wonder who started the rumour?

I do have to admit the trans module allows much more optimum shift ,but 20kw more? tickford couldn't even do that wit the "series 2 EL XR8" the most you can get with a chip in the 170kw XR8 is 182kw without cam, head or exhaust mods? :?:

Yeah well the police shifting would be out of whack with mine due to the stage 2 shift kit installed.

but i do remember the shift not being firm or anything before...

By the way if anyone is deciding if they should get a shift kit, dont!... u get sick of the whiplash at low speeds.

The suspension though, damn its good..
