							Hi

I have a Series 1 EF XR8 and I want to fit the Explorer manifold off an AU. I have read in a lot of posts that the Explorer manifold doesn't use EGR, but what about the Series 2 EL's that had them? I would like to have it working so that I can keep the timing normal and not have to worry about pinging or the chance of getting any nasty fines. Can I set it up the same as the EL's (assuming that they did have EGR)? Also, would I need to get a gasket set to suit series 2 EL XR8 or AU XR8? |

When i did mine changeover i used my original throttle body etc and bolted it up to the explorer, and i blocked off the coolant tubes in the throttle body, the gasket set will be the same, apart from the gasket between the upper and lower manifold which is different.
