you can get a single 2 1/2'' system for around $350, but be sure that it has straight thru mufflers (redback are very quiet with 2 mufflers) ,& if you want it a little louder ,get a 3'' catback system with a resonator (hotdog) on the tailpipe, although 2 1/2" is prob a better choice for less modified engines.

2.5" dual would be more suited to a stroker IMO. I'd lean towards a dual 2.25" for a 5.0L and my personal preference would be to stick with duals over single systems.

3" is pretty useless for anything other than a turbo.

Some may even argue a 2.5" is too big for an NA 6. |

Some may even argue a 2.5" is too big for an NA 6. I guess lucky that this is in the V8 forum and so the 6's are of no concern... Duel 2 1/4" lucky is what was on my 302 Clevo in the XC, sounded absolutely superb! I would of thought 2 1/2" is a bit small for your 5.0L, 3" single would be more the go I would of thought, might loose a smidgen of down low, but should help her breathe a bit better up high, but that's purely speculation on mybehalf. |
