i have heard of a plastic dye. no idea where you would get it though. perhaps a hobby shop.

You can buy lens dye in red and amber (possibly other colors) which should work OK on polycarbonate. Available from auto parts stores - my local AutoPro stocks it.
The question is though - what car is it? as very few would have polycarb tail lights from factory.

SSS are now selling aftermarket tail lights for the EL (www.ozeparts.com.au).
These units ($200) are clear, with coloured globes. I would like to colour them similar to the car. Thanks for your advice..will try auto parts shop for dye/stain |
