Can anyone tell me the correct part number for an oil filter for my XR? went into supercheap to get a purolator one but they list 2 different types, one for with an oil cooler and one without it. Would my XR have the cooler or not and how do I tell, bit of a newbie when it comes to the V8.

z9.....same as every other ford since the 70's and possibly earlier..

z9 is the correct filter

but u would have been fine with the stubby one
ie the oil filter for the oil cooler

have a look at teh one on the car now if it is big Z9 or AFL1
small the then other 1
