why would you spend money on a staino shroud that contains the heat when you can polish the effective shroud & retain the 100'c heat loss through the shroud ?

I would say depending on the style of extractors it could be a PITA to make the stock cover fit. Mine certainly didnt, but it only cost me $3 to make up something that did.
