gday i have installed thermo fans into my ed and am just wondering if they are opwerating correctly.
-when i turn ignition to "on" postion one fan works on low speed -when the car gets to about 90deg the high speed fan works aswell as the low speed fan. is this correct that i always have atleast one fan working? or should they both turn on only when the car reaches 90deg??? |

It depends how you wired them and what you arranged them to do. What wiring arrangement did you use?
If you can draw a picture of your wiring would help. Cheers Chris |

i bought a kit off ebay and it is wired correctly its just that im wondering if it is normal for one of the fans to run all of the time- i thought they would only turn on when the car gets hot

I agree with you. It is rather strange to have a fan running when engine is cold.
I presume you don't have the aircon on? That may account for a fan running. If you can scan me the wiring diagram I may be able to help more. I was not insinuating you wired it wrong but it is pretty near impossible to guess what may be wrong without some idea how it is wired. Was it a commercial kit, how many relays what type of temperature sensor etc etc. Chris |

Above is right. Having a diagram would make "guessing" a lot more scientific
