A cylinder head guy told me Tickford heads have shorter valve guides. That is the valve guide does not stick into the cylinder head port as much as a stock head.

Duz anyone know if this is fact or fiction as I thought the valve guides were the same length for all I6 heads.

Nevertheless I have shortened all the valve guides by about 15mm. I dont think this should alter the wear rate much as stock I6 valve guide lengths have never been a problem for me.
