I read on here about the silicon spray to unblock slow winding power windows. I was just wondering do I have to pull the door trim off and stick it in there or just down the top of the window?

best to pull the door trim off mate, just spraying it randomly won't get it in the right places. It only takes about 5 minutes to pull the trim off.

you motivated me to do mine lol. Pulled the drivers side front trim off and sprayed up and down all the tracks. Wiped off the excess spray, worked a treat. Mine use to get really stuck about 15 cms from the top now it just glides through it.
Will get around to doing the other windows one day.

Just did mine quickly around the top and it made a huge difference. I need to pull the trims off this week sometime anyway so I will do it properly then.

just spray it down the guides, and run the window up and down a few times, thats always worked for me. do all your door rubbers while your at it if you live somewhere dusty

Its just called Silicon Spray. Its at any auto shop (repco, super cheap, etc) They had some that were $6 and some for $20 I went for some $15 stuff and it worked wonders. Its on the same shelf as RP7 and WD40

yeah the one i use is the 808 silicon spray. It works a treat.

I just checked and the one I use is called Nulon Ezi-glide

I use th3e loctite silicone spray - it's not just for power windows, manual to. I've never bothered pulling the door trim off though!!!
