How do i check the Diff oil on my AU3 xr8?

Take the plug out, stick your finger in, level of oil should be at bottom of plaug hole, might as well drain it while your there, a often overlooked thing diff oil.

sorry, ive never done this before.
Is the plug located at the centre of the diff where the housing for the gears are?

yeah it is there is one at the bottom to drain it
