when engine is warm,a ticking noise sounds from engine on decceleration only at approx 1200 rpm. Oil has been changed but still no improvement

does it sound like a werrring noise, if so it might be the timing chain. I've had a that engine did it at about 2,000 on acceleration and deceleration.

Possibly try the tensioner on the chain 1st

would it be the tappets? Is it easy to adjust the chain tensioner? thanks
