I have an american VSS unit in my ef xr8 motor/auto gearbox(In a mustang). This one allows the use of the electronic signal and run an old cable driven speedo. I have been told this things is an 8 pulse unit, don't know the specific details, maybe 8 pulses per mile.

my question is what is the standard pulse for an el xr8? |

It will be pulses per revoloution. I think the XD/XE ones are 16 per rev. Dont know if they are the same though. So I guess this doesnt help.

yeah that would make sense. This one does 8000 per mile. I found an article amongst the digital speedo discussion and someone worked it out to be 6250 per km. I'm going to put in a correcter, just need a reasonable base to start at before I get the speed off the laser. I'll try 79% and see where it takes me.

				thanks for your help |

Nah I don't unfortunately. I'm going to get the boys in blue to put the car on the laser, at least I know it will be 100% accurate.
