hi all, the right side exterior quater window trim on my elxr8 needs to be removed as im replacing it with a new one from ford, $150 for a new one

I enquired on replacing these trims around the rear quater windows, i was told that the glass and the trim was sold as one assembly, meaning you couldn't get the trim seperately.
The whole window and trim is glued in with a special sikaflex. |

all i know is that ive tried to get them off before and its a total b**ch, its really stuck on there well...
a very sharp blade would help

yeah they are one piece, window and sill i had to replace them both with new ones when i respayed my car... they werent cheap either!

yea i noticed them trims get real faded and look shocking, i enquired about other ways around it other then replacing it, some sounded abit out there but i have yet to try any of the ideas on mine
