i have an ef v8 and my coolant always overflows and when it cools down and i look it sits under the minimum line. the car never overheats but can get upto the "O" in normal is this ok? or should i do something about it?

it overflows from the overflow pipe if that makes sence...still get a new radiator cap?

If the existing cap is shagged, it'll require less pressure for the fluid to escape.
A new cap will retain the pressure and keep it in the bottle. They're set at 120kpa and as a precaution, the overflow if exceeded. Ford Part No. ARS5108 (i think for v8's also) and retail for around $10.

ohh I misread that!
I'd be removing the radiator, cleaning the fins and inspecting also for a few bux, replacing the thermostat regardless and using tectaoly xtra cool gold coolant. Honestly, why not enduldge, spend $100 and replace all the hoses you can, hell they could be 12years old. the exessive heat can cause overflow but you'll never know what it was if you do it all properly!

Check the thermostat is opening up properly.
Mine died last month and it was 1 year old!

does it overflow even when cold? try changing the radiator cap, but maybe air is getting in where it shouldnt (AKA head gasket.

a faulty cap will cause it to run hot as well. just replace the cap first and see how you go.
blacksabbath - head gasket failure? on a windsor? you're kidding right!
