hey all.
i had an Autometer Autogauge tacho in my ef mont i just ripped it out and put it in exactly the same way in to my gf's el mont and it was working fine. after i put all the dash back together i started the car again and the tacho was reading 300rpm higher then it should have been. now when i rev it the rpm difference gets bigger as the car revs. does anyone have an idea of what the go is?

is there a switch at the rear of the guage?
you might have bumped the switch from 6 cyl into 4 cyl.? as that would make it higher than normal.. |

Is your ignition input directly from the ECU or the coil. That would be your problem right there if you took it from the coil.
