Car is an EL XR6 running EMS.

Engine rebuild and install is complete but will not start.

All components working prior to rebuild so maybe I am at fault But is was 6 months in happening!

The crank turns over but there does not appear to be spark at the plugs.

The battery is not strong (now) and the plugs & leads are not hot. One plug earthed outside does not appear to spark.

If it is relevant to ingnition system, I have replaced the starter motor, dist cap, rotor, leads & plugs.

Smartlock seems ok - It's flashing initially but then stops while attempting to start.

All ideas and order of testing would be appreciated.

Should I test TFI module, fuse links 1st or something else?

check the dizzy. I had one that was earthing inside and not letting enough power out to get a spark.

Thanks to those that read this and only because this was dug up....

For others - Cold and dark is not a licence to not look at the problem and do a search.

And check that the TFI is plugged in
