My EL just got the drivers side key socket busted up by a screw driver.
 d**k heads. but to the point, i was wondering if anyone knows if you can get a insert(like a plug) to insert into the key hole so it's keyless entry(think the fairlains have it). or if the rear right hand door handle will fit where the drivers side one is. just dont want it to happen again.

not sure on the EL but i had the same happen to my AU xr6 got me rear drivers door handle and put it in the drivers door
 no more lock!
only thign is i cant let the battery go flat on the remote or i cant get into the car! rip the drivers door handle out and the rear door handle out and see if they fit

Yes, you need to take the door skin off to get to the nuts holding the handles on.
