hello the firewall has cracked and broken away where the clutch cable passes through .i made a bracket and bolted it to the back of the engine to get away from the firewall. it works but the engine twists the foot pedals.does anyone know of a successful repair to this problem;any help would be greatly appreciated

pedal box needs strengthening.

Ford Used to sell a bracket that bolted onto the firewall.

Most people make a large plate and fabricate their own way.

While your at it, you could strengthen the brake master cylinder while your at it!

Do a search, there's a few people with simular issues.

thanks for your advice . copied your repair information and made up a plate .fitted to firewall and problem solved .
