hey are the starter motors between the auto and manuals different in E series V8s?

No, both auto and manaul use the same motorcraft 3-bolt starter. in the e-series and AU's.

mines a 2 bolt one, theres like a plug in the middle of mine to help line it up,will get a pic 2mrrw
