I am looking at buying a AU1 XR8 auto. Fairly cheap...under 5k

Only prob is diff is on way out and guy selling car has made that plainly clear, I assume it is a 3.45 lsd- and was wondering how much I would be looking at replacing? Does anyone out there have one?

Are all AU XR8's IRS or does it not matter??

all are IRS but the centre (gears etc) are the same as EBII-EL except with circlip grooves to hold the axles in place. rebuild around the $1k mark
