does anyone one know if the v8 one is the same as the 6cyl one. the unit looks identical, both have motocraft on them and both have the 3 pins on the back

I'm glad to hear that Brett. I'm running a 6 cyl TFI right now and it seems to do the trick. The car has been missing and misfiring under full throttle and I thought it may have been the TFI. I guess it must be a plug lead then. Thanks for confirming that the 6 cyl unit is OK.

The 6 cyl TFI is around $75 new from Motor Traders.
